The Maker

Listen to “The Maker” by Chris August

I’ve chosen this song this week, because I’ve listened to it over and over with my daughter, and it’s just beautiful. The message is beautiful, but what I love most about it is the way my daughter looks when she is singing along with it. She sings it with sincerity and conviction; and truly believes the words of this song, and worships her Maker as she sings. This mama’s heart is overflowing!

God is the Maker and Creator of life. When He is in our hearts, we can see the beauty in all of His creations, and we can recognize His presence in every situation. God is good, and everything He has created is good. Isn’t it amazing and overwhelming to think that this All Powerful Maker love us? He loves me and you! He is so good, and I am so thankful that He knows me and loves me.

Psalm 8:3-9   When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, son of man that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. 9 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 139:14   I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Let’s Pray

Maker, You have overwhelmed my heart today. When I actually think of all that You have done and who You are, it amazes me that I am also on Your mind. Lord, I want to see Your creation as You see it; every rock, tree, rainfall, animal, person, just everything! Help me to love humbly and gently and see the beauty that is Yours in every person, just as you see it in me. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made! As You have breathed Your life into me, I pray that it exudes from me in all that I am and all that I do. Maker… Father, I am Yours. Amen.
