This song is about the miracle of the cross. What and why it is. No one is outside of the love of God.

Romans 5:8  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

That is our proof! “While we were STILL SINNERS, Christ dies for us.” Jesus’ sacrifice was for all of us, all we need to do is believe and accept Him as our Savior and we have the victory! Like this song says, “A cross meant to kill is my victory”. Amen!

When I think about the cross; the sacrifice, I really cannot help but get emotional. It always triggers something inside of me. My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude and amazement. That’s really the best word to describe it for me; overwhelmed! Any emotion that the thought of Jesus’ sacrifice could bring to me seems like more than I can comprehend. Even though I know that God sent His son to be a sacrifice for my life, I just can’t completely grasp that amount of selfless love, and it brings me to my knees in thanksgiving and praise. It’s amazing and beautiful; it’s selfless perfect love. Because He loves us, Jesus went through the persecution, torture and sacrifice of death on the cross. He conquered death and the grave; and now He is alive forevermore carrying the weight of our sin so that we don’t have to face spiritual death, but eternal life! He is so good!

Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

When we were born into this world we were born as sons of Adam. So we are all born into sin. And even though we are all created by God, we don’t become His children until we accept Him as Father. But when we do accept Him, we are no longer bound by being sons of Adam; our hearts make the transfer of sinful to forgiven! Because of Jesus there can be a change in son-ship if we accept Him.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

God created us all! He sent His Son to save us ALL! He wants to be Father to each and every one of us because we are His creations!!! Won’t we turn over our hearts to the One who created our very breath and life; to the One who sacrificed His life for our lives; to the One who comes to live in our hearts if only we believe it and ask Him in?

Let’s Pray

Lord, thank You for the cross. Thank You for Your sacrifice  for my life. I am not worthy, but You love me and You want me. You are the Lamb that was slain to wipe away my sins and give me new life! I ask that You would come in to my heart today, Jesus. I need Your change and Your grace in my life. Lord, I praise You because You are good and You are love. And I praise You because of what You have done for me! You alone are worthy of my praise! I love You, Lord, and I will follow You all of the days of my life; and one day live in eternity with You! I am Yours because You are mine. There is no greater love than You. In Your precious, holy name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
