Listen to the “King of My Heart” Written by John Mark &Sarah McMillan, Performed (in the video that I linked to) by Steffany Gretzinger, Jeremy Riddle, & Christine Rhee.
This song has really been on my heart well, for about a year now. The first time I heard it, I was in awe of its praise, and message, and beauty. it was one of those songs that when you hear it start, you just have to stop what you’re doing and praise Him.
No matter the situation, God is good, He will never leave us or forsake us. I know that’s easier to say than to truly believe when hard times are on us, but He is our hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. And whatever the outcome in the end, we must remember, Deuteronomy 31:6 to Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. God’s goodness shines through the darkest of situations. His peace, joy, strength, and hope take over when it doesn’t seem like we should have any, if we keep our eyes set on Him. No matter the outcome, to God be the glory! Every time I am praying for someone or for myself, I can’t help but think that GOD IS GOOD!
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us,who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns?No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j]
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Lord, I pray right now over situations that I am aware of and also situations that I’m not aware of. I speak over each body that needs a healing, each mind that needs put at ease, each emotion that needs put in check. I pray over each relationship that needs reconciled, every heart that needs mended, and every life that needs to find meaning through the blood of Jesus Christ! GOD IS GOOD! He is willing and able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or think according to His will! He is faithful and just to forgive because it’s not His will that even one should perish! GOD IS GOOD! His grace covers us and is sufficient for each of us. HE NEVER LETS US DOWN. GOD IS GOOD!
