Psalm 104:33

I have my own personal time of praise and worship almost everyday. I love the peace and excitement that it fills me with, but even more than that, I love the way it helps me express my excitement and my love for Jesus. And even though I love to spend time shutting out the rest of the world, in prayer and praising with music, I want you to know that you don’t have to stop life to spend time in praise and worship.

Praise and Worship in Everyday Tasks

Praise and worship can be part of your everyday tasks and routine. It’s easy to make time for it. You don’t have to be alone or away from everything. Something that I do almost everyday is worship while I’m in my kitchen. I connect my music to a small speaker that sits on my counter. Then I turn it up and sing my heart out while I’m washing dishes and cooking. I spend a good bit of my day in the kitchen, and I love every minute of it.

Sometimes I’m by myself and sometimes I bring my kids in to help me in the kitchen and to hopefully join in the praise! They usually do join in even if just a little bit. Music is catchy no matter what, let alone when it’s praising Jesus. Our attitude of praise can spread and infect everyone around us! It’s important to make it a part of home life.

Why Praise Music as Worship

When we are living a praise-filled life it will become part of you, and you will find yourself praising Jesus in your heart and mind without even realizing when you started doing it. It helps fill your heart with thanksgiving and adoration. The words that you sing and repeat as the songs play through begin to take root in your heart. The music paired with the words stirs emotion and creates an atmosphere of reverence.

Weekly Praise & Worship Song

So what I am going to do is post a worship song at the beginning of each week. I will post a link to the song on YouTube. It will be a song that I have spent time in praise and prayer with, while praying over each of you that you would be ministered to and blessed by it.

Lord, I love you. You alone are worthy of my praise. I pray that my praise and worship would be like sweet incense to the You.  That my heart would be filled each day with thanksgiving and praise. I want my praise to be true, and I want the words that I sing to be aligned  with my heart. Lord I long to love You more and more. You are worthy of my praise. Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever! Amen.
